Digital Product Design

Sometimes problems can’t be solved by comms. The solution lies in a new product or service. I always start with the customer need rather than starting with the tech. Then design for a fantastic experience.

GLASTONBURY APP

EE

After missing out on the UK’s biggest festival for two years running due to the pandemic, we wanted to ensure fans had their best festival ever.

ANON CV

DIGITAS

Unconscious bias is still a problem in recruitment. A foreign sounding name or being in an older age group can detrimentally affect the chances of making it to interview. We wanted to do something practical to help make recruitment fairer, so we created a tool that automatically strips out personal data from a CV and reformats it so it’s easy to read. Then we made it open source so that everybody could use it for free.

IBM SEER 2.0

IBM

Very few people at Wimbledon get tickets to watch to the big matches, so we decided to give everybody the chance to watch the tennis with SEER 2.0. SEER 2.0 gave tennis fans at Wimbledon x-ray vision. They could use their phones to ‘see through the walls’ and watch any tennis match live.

SEER 2.0 was following in the footsteps of the first SEER an app that delivered groundbreaking live Augmented Reality data to your phone. The only way to follow it up was to create another world first and a new story for the press to pick up on. We succeeded. Our live video was a first for an app. And we were featured on TV – including half an hour of coverage on the BBC alone.

ROAM DELIVERY

VOLVO

The world’s first direct-to-car delivery.

Operated via a mobile app, Volvo drivers would be able to give a delivery company access to the trunk of their car for a fixed time period (the rest of the car was immobilized).

It’s now been extended to all Amazon deliveries in the US.
